Responsibilities

The purpose of the Building Review Board is to hear any and all appeals related to the International Code Council (ICC) Family of Building Codes, the International Property Maintenance Code, and the City’s Occupancy Inspection Program. The Building Code Review Committee Code Committee is a group comprise of five (5) individuals who are certified in fields of expertise pertaining to building codes, including, but not limited to architecture, structural engineering, building inspection, general contracting, or fire protection. 

Meetings

The Building Code Review Committee will only meet whenever an applicant appeals the decision made by the Community Development Director or Chief Building Official in relation to the Building Code or the Occupancy Inspection Program. Meetings will be scheduled the 1st Tuesday of the Month at City Hall in the Council Chambers. 

Membership

Building Code Review Committee Members are appointed to 5-year terms by the Mayor and with the consent of the City Council.
