The mission of the Collinsville Street Department is to provide quality service and a quality product at a fair cost to tax payers, while assuring that our streets, sidewalks, and all City right-of-way (R.O.W.) is safe for the motoring and pedestrian traffic.
The Department has 16 full-time union employees (Operating Engineers 520C), and an Administrative Assistant. Staff is responsible for maintaining approximately 173 miles of streets and alleys, 71 miles of sidewalks, City storm sewers and signs, snow removal and tree management, street sweeping and mowing City R.O.W., and maintaining all the equipment necessary to do the job.
The Department also maintains mosquito control by larvacide application. Collinsville residents are the eyes and ears of the City. If you come across any. issue related to City streets, sidewalks, etc., please contact us immediately at 618-346-5214. A return call will be made within 24 hours.

2025 OIL & CHIPPING SCHEDULE
The Public Works Department will be Oiling & Chipping during the weeks of June 23rd-27th and July 28th-August 1st. Click here to view an updated list of the roads that'll be impacted. In the event that inclement weather delays the work and it isn't completed by August 1st, work will be finished during the week of August 25th-29th.
