Yes, you can cancel your camper's registration for a summer camp date or dates up to 7 DAYS in advance for a full refund or credit to account, if applicable. NO refunds will be rewarded between 6 days and the DAY OF the first registered date of that weekly session. This requirement allows us to offer opportunities to other campers on the waitlist.
If written notice is not received within the required timeframe, the full session fee will apply.
To cancel a camp date for your camper please email camp@collinsvilleil.org with Camper's full name, dates to be removed, and any other important information relating to the cancellation.
- Camp registration includes a Collinsville Parks and Recreation Camp Kahok t-shirt. Campers will receive their shirt on their first day of camp and are required to wear this shirt for every field trip or off-site outing. Additional shirts are available to purchase at the Parks and Recreation Office for $7 each. If a child is not wearing their camp shirt on a field trip/outing day, the camper will be provided a new shirt, and the fee will be charged to their account.
You can access a copy of your Tax Receipts, along with all your payment history through your online account. Select Tax Receipts at the bottom of the dashboard screen.
All camp registrations are required to make at least the initial week registration payment and continue on a Payment Plan. A credit card will be put on the payment plan, which is currently scheduled to charge a credit card the Friday BEFORE the week start of a Camp date. For example, for a camper attending Week 3 starting on Monday, the credit card will be charged on Friday the week BEFORE.

If your camper is on the waitlist, you will ONLY be notified if they have been ADDED to the session for which they were waitlisted.
The last possible date for a camper to be added from the waitlist is the FRIDAY before the start of that session.

I have already registered my camper for a session this summer, can I register for additional sessions later?
YES! You can register for additional sessions at any time. If a session is full, you can always add your camper to the waitlist at no charge! You can register for more sessions through your account online or by contacting the Collinsville Parks and Recreation Activity Center at 618-346-7529.
To access your Active Communities Account
Click HEREWhen you register your camper(s) online, the calendar dates will indicate if registration is full for that session. If you would like to be added to the waitlist(no charge) for the session, select the session within your request and the system prompt will ask if you would like to be added to the waitlist, accept the request, then proceed with your registration.
If any an opening for the waitlist occurs, you will be notified by Collinsville Parks and Recreation.
Camp Kahok Summer Camp registration offers additional care before camp our and after camp hours to for an additional fee.
Camp Hours are from 9:00am-4:00pm
Early Care starts at 7:00am and ends at 9:00am, the start of Camp Activities.
Late Care starts at 4:00pm, the end of Camp Activities, and ends at 6:00pm.
All Campers MUST be picked up by 6pm to avoid late fee charges.Camper Swim Test & Wristbands
All campers will complete a swim test with a Head Lifeguard and receive a colored wristband based on swimming ability and height. Wristbands must be worn on all Camp Kahok pool days.

GREEN Wristband
Campers who meet the 48-inch height requirement and pass the swim test may access all Aqua Park swim areas. -
YELLOW Wristband
Campers who are at least 40 inches but under 48 inches and pass the swim test may access most areas, including the Lilypad and all Monsoon Mountain slides.
Yellow wristbands are not permitted on the Tower Slide (big blue slide near the Lilypad). -
RED Wristband
Campers with a red wristband may swim only in the following areas:-
Leisure Pool

Monsoon Mountain (no red or blue slides; 40-inch height minimum)

Kiddie Pool

Lazy River (non-swimmers only, with supervision)

C.I.T. supervision: 1:1 ratio

Camp Counselor supervision: 2:1 ratio

All campers must follow height requirements (40–48 inches) for applicable Aqua Park features. Swim test results and wristband assignments are tracked by the Camp Director and staff.
Opting Out of a Swim Test
Parents may choose to forgo the swim test and request a RED wristband only. Campers assigned a GREEN or YELLOW wristband must complete a swim test.
Swim test opportunities will be scheduled with Aqua Park staff prior to the start of camp. If a camper is unable to attend a scheduled swim test day, an individual test will be completed when Aqua Park staff is available.

- Campers are required to bring AT LEAST 2 snacks every day. Campers will have a snack break in the morning and a snack break in the afternoon. Some campers may be hungrier than others, make sure to pack extra snacks for your camper if you know you need to!
- Field Trips are on Wednesdays each week however there may occasionally be trips on Fridays.
Camp Kahok campers enjoy afternoon trips to the Aqua Park on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, weather permitting.
One major field trip each week is included in the registration fee for the scheduled field trip date. Campers are required to wear their Camp Kahok T-shirt and closed-toe walking shoes.
If a field trip is canceled, every effort will be made to reschedule. When rescheduling is not possible, an in-house activity or alternate program will be provided.
Parents/Guardians will be contacted via ePACT notification for a field trip cancellation.
Campers are required to bring a backpack to contain and carry all of their items. Campers should have in their backpacks:
1. Water bottle
2. Swimwear, towel, sandals, & a bag for wet clothes
3. Sunscreen/bug spray
4. Lunch and two snacks (if you have a very hungry camper, please send extra snacks)
5. Cell phones are allowed but must be turned off and kept in camper's bag.Camp Kahok is not responsible for any lost or stolen items
Medications, Allergies, etc.
A medication permission form must be signed by a parent or guardian via ePACT. Only medications which are medically necessary and cannot be scheduled outside the hours of the recreation program will be given during the program. All medications must be contained in a prescription bottle or original container and appropriately labeled. All medications that are given during camp hours will be logged in the medication log available to staff.

- Campers at Collinsville Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp are between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. 5-year-olds must have completed Kindergarten.
- The Counselor to Camper ratio is 1 counselor per 10 campers.
Please send your camper to camp prepared for a full range of activities!
Loose fitting clothing for messy activities, outdoor recreation and weather appropriate. Campers must wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking, running, and playing. Sandals will only be allowed on Pool Days at the Aqua Park. Individuals prone to accidents or extreme messes, should provide an extra change of clothes, socks, undergarments, etc. in their daily backpack.
- Campers will be participating in a full range of activities! Arts and crafts, games, sports, fitness, and other stimulating and fun activities. Campers will go on a weekly field trip and visit the Collinsville Aqua Park 3 days of the week. Other activities will included scheduled entertainment and demonstrations with outside specialty groups.
Campers should bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and 2 snacks every day. Field Trip days will have limited opportunities to purchase lunches, a packed lunched will be required. More details will be shared in the weekly newsletter emailed to parents/guardians.
Pizza Fridays! Campers will receive two slices of pizza every Friday at Camp!
Campers still needs to bring 2 snacks and a drink, and any additional food that they may need/want with their pizza lunch.
