Willoughby Farm now features an Aerated Static Pile (ASP) composting system, allowing us to compost more efficiently than ever.

Benefits include:

• Larger capacity for community organics

• Faster composting with improved airflow

• Higher-quality compost (“black gold”) for local use

In partnership with New Earth Farms

Bring your food scraps to the compost station located in the Willoughby Farm parking lot.

How it works:

• Sign up with New Earth Farms to participate 

• Drop off your food scraps

• Receive FREE finished compost when it’s ready—perfect for gardens and landscaping
  
  Easy and rewarding for everyone—from apartments to acreages!

We’re proud to work with local organizations to grow food, reduce waste, and support our neighbors.

• University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners & Collinsville Food Pantry
  Volunteers grow fresh produce using compost and donate it to those in need—closing the loop from waste to soil to food.

• Gateway Convention Center
  Food scraps are diverted from landfills and turned into compost, reducing waste and emissions.
