The Collinsville Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant testing throughout the city. For a list of current locations you can visit the Fire Department's Facebook page If your water runs and is a brownish color, this is why. Please just let your water run until it runs clear. We encourage you to not do any white loads of laundry during this time.
The Parks Master Plan will serve as a guide to the Parks & Recreation Department in making improvements to Collinsville parks and other recreation facilities. The planning process will involve identifying areas of need, establishing priorities, and engaging the community to create a plan that best serves Collinsville.
It is important to take a “big picture” look at the parks and community connectivity as well as gather public input for educated and informed decision making in the Parks and Recreation Department. The finished plan will provide staff with an invaluable tool in Capital Improvement Program (CIP) planning and execution, grant applications, and the establishment of priorities not only for the parks, but also for programming and events.
The process will include several opportunities for residents to provide input on what they would like to see in Collinsville's parks, open spaces, and recreation facilities. Opportunities to attend public meetings to provide input will be posted here and on the Parks & Recreation Department Facebook page @CollinsvilleParksandRec. If you are unable to attend a public input meeting but would like to provide ideas for the plan, please complete the input form at the bottom of this page.
