Camp Kahok: Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Program
Interested in becoming a camp counselor? The Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Program is a hands-on leadership opportunity for youth ages 13–15 who enjoy working with children and want to build skills in leadership, lesson planning, and child safety. C.I.T.s work alongside experienced counselors, assist with daily camp activities, participate in team-building games, attend field trips, and enjoy swim time at the Collinsville Aqua Park.
Participation is application- and interview-based, and space is limited. Acceptance into the program does not guarantee future employment as a paid counselor. A positive attitude and cooperative behavior are required; participants may be removed from the program for behavioral concerns without refund.
Program Fee: $100 per week (covers cost of activities, field trips, Aqua Park access, and a staff shirt)
How to Apply: Have your child completed the PDF application listed in the documents box below. Completed applications should be submitted to the Superintendent of Recreation via email at ksiebert@collinsvilleil.org
