Home MenuCamp Kahok at the Aqua Park
Camp Kahok visits the Collinsville Aqua Park up to three times per week. Visit days may vary based on weather and weekly camp activities.
🏊♀️Campers Enrolled in Aqua Park Swim Programs
Campers who are also enrolled in Aqua Park programs (such as swim lessons or Junior Guard) may have scheduled program time that overlaps with Camp Kahok hours. The Camp Director will coordinate all transitions between camp and Aqua Park programs.
Please notify camp staff at check-in if your child is participating in an Aqua Park program. Camp staff will escort campers to and from their swim program and return them to Camp Kahok activities.
🛟Camper Swim Test & Wristbands
All campers will complete a swim test with a Head Lifeguard and receive a colored wristband based on swimming ability and height. Wristbands must be worn on all Camp Kahok pool days.
-
GREEN Wristband
Campers who meet the 48-inch height requirement and pass the swim test may access all Aqua Park swim areas. -
YELLOW Wristband
Campers who are at least 40 inches but under 48 inches and pass the swim test may access most areas, including the Lilypad and all Monsoon Mountain slides.
Yellow wristbands are not permitted on the Tower Slide (big blue slide near the Lilypad). -
RED Wristband
Campers with a red wristband may swim only in the following areas:-
Leisure Pool
-
Monsoon Mountain (no red or blue slides; 40-inch height minimum)
-
Kiddie Pool
-
Lazy River (non-swimmers only, with supervision)
-
C.I.T. supervision: 1:1 ratio

-
All campers must follow height requirements (40–48 inches) for applicable Aqua Park features. Swim test results and wristband assignments are tracked by the Camp Director and staff.
🚫Opting Out of a Swim Test
Parents may choose to forgo the swim test and request a RED wristband only. Campers assigned a GREEN or YELLOW wristband must complete a swim test.
Swim test opportunities will be scheduled with Aqua Park staff prior to the start of camp. If a camper is unable to attend a scheduled swim test day, an individual test will be completed when Aqua Park staff is available.
✅Approved Flotation Devices
Parents are encouraged to send a proper flotation device with their camper for use at the Aqua Park on Pool Days
⚠️For your safety, only U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) approved lifejackets and puddle jumpers are permitted at Collinsville Aqua Park. A limited number of USCG-approved lifejackets are available in the breezeway on a first-come, first-served basis.
🚫Prohibited flotation devices include pool noodles, body boards, water wings, inflatable devices, baby floats, swim bubbles, and any other non-USCG-approved flotation equipment.
✅How to check if your device is USCG approved: Look for the approval stamp printed inside the device, typically located on the middle back. This stamp indicates the personal flotation device (PFD) meets specific buoyancy and construction standards. Always read the label and follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.
✅Fit and use: Ensure the device fits properly—snug around the chest without riding up. Check the listed weight limit and choose the correct size accordingly. All straps should be tightened and buckles securely fastened.
⚠️Supervision and safety: A flotation device does not replace active supervision or swim skills. Even with lifeguards on duty, close and constant supervision by a capable swimming adult, along with strong swim ability, are the most important layers of protection for children and non-swimmers.
🛑✋Before purchasing a flotation device: Conduct your own research. While USCG-approved devices are allowed, each device is designed for specific activities. It’s important to choose one that meets your needs and comfort level.
