 🌩️Lightning & Thunder Policy

  • If lightning is detected within 10 miles or thunder is heard, the waterpark will close immediately.

  • The park will remain closed until:

    • Lightning is outside the 10-mile radius, and

    • 30 minutes have passed since the last sound of thunder.

  • If lightning moves within 5 miles, all patrons must move to:

    • The breezeway

    • Locker rooms

    • Their vehicles

  • The concession stand will also close at this time.

  • Weather conditions are re-evaluated every 15 minutes.

  • If the park is closed for more than 1 hour, the Superintendent of Aquatics or on-site manager may close the facility for the rest of the day.

  • Ticket sales will stop when lightning is within 15 miles.


🌦️Rain Policy

  • The waterpark may remain open during rainfall.

  • The park must close immediately if lifeguards cannot clearly see the pool bottom.

  • The facility will re-evaluate visibility after 15 minutes.

  • If closed for more than 1 hour, the Superintendent of Aquatics or on-site manager may close for the rest of the day.


🌡️ Temperature Policy

  • To open for the day, both air and water temperatures must be at least 70°F.

  • If temperatures are below 70°F at scheduled opening time, the waterpark will delay opening.

  • If both temperatures reach 70°F within one hour of the scheduled opening, the park will open for the afternoon.


🌪️ Tornado Warning Policy

  • During a tornado warning, all patrons must:

    • Move to locker rooms, or

    • Leave the facility.

  • Patrons must follow all instructions from Aqua Park staff.

  • The park will remain closed until 30 minutes after the warning has expired.

  • Closures are at the discretion of the Superintendent of Aquatics or the Parks and Recreation Director.

  • The Collinsville Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to close aquatic facilities based on weather forecasts.

  • All closures will be communicated via the Collinsville Parks and Recreation and Aqua Park Facebook pages.


🏊 Program Weather Policy

  • Collinsville Parks and Recreation will try to hold aquatic programs (swim lessons, river walking, special events) during adjusted hours.

  • Cancellations are at the discretion of the Superintendent of Aquatics or on-site manager.

  • Rainouts will be communicated via:

    • Email

    • Facebook

  • Depending on the program, a make-up day or refund may be offered.

  • All decisions regarding make-ups and refunds are at the discretion of the Superintendent of Aquatics.


🌧️✅ Rain Check Policy

  • The Aqua Park remains open unless staff determine a full-day closure is necessary.

  • If a full-day closure is declared after 1 hour of weather-related delays, guests may receive a rain check to return another day during the current season.

To receive a rain check:

  • Present your receipt

  • Be in the park for less than 2 hours at the time of closure

  • Guests entering within 2 hours of posted closing are not eligible

    • Example: If the park closes at 7 PM, entries at 5 PM or later are not eligible

  • Receipts are time-stamped, and each guest must be present to receive the rain check

  • Rain checks expire on the last day of the season and are valid only at Collinsville Aqua Park

  • Rain checks cannot be redeemed for cash

  • No receipt = no rain check

  • NO REFUNDS will be issued

Collinsville Aqua Park staff reserve the right to enforce all rules and make adjustments as needed to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
