The Collinsville Fire Department offers American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Classes from 6-9pm on select Wednesdays at Fire Station One, 130 South Clinton Street.

FROM THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION: "The AHA's BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings."

COST: $25 per Collinsville Fire District Resident; $50 per Non-Resident; payable in cash only upon arrival the night of the class.

AVAILABLE 2026 DATES: April 1st, July 1st & October 7th
