STATEMENT FROM FIRE CHIEF JOHN BAILOT:
“This project has been made possible through the collaboration of City officials, planners, architects, contractors, and – most importantly – the support of our community. We thank every taxpayer, every advocate, and every partner who helped turn this vision into reality.
This station represents our commitment to response readiness, firefighter safety, and operational efficiency. It ensures we can continue to deliver rapid, professional, and compassionate service when our neighbors need us most — often on the worst days of their lives.
For decades, our current station has served us well. It has been a place of courage, teamwork, and sacrifice. But as our community has grown, so too have the demands placed on emergency services. Call volumes have increased. Equipment has evolved. Training standards have expanded.
But this building is about more than bricks and steel. It represents trust. Trust that when someone dials 911, help is on the way. Trust that our City plans not just for today, but for the next generation. Trust that public safety remains a top priority.”
