2025 Halloween House Contest

Do you have the BEST Halloween decor? Let's put it to a vote! Participating Collinsville homes will be judged on creativity, use of decorations, and overall appearance. Registered homes will be marked by a yard sign provided by the Parks and Recreation Department. A guide of all participating homes will be published on the Collinsville Website and Facebook page by October 22nd.

New Contest Rules!
Judge's Choice:
Homes will be judged by members of the Community Appearance Board from October 22nd to 26th. The winner of the Judge's Choice will be announced at the close of the contest.
People's Choice:
All participants' home videos will be displayed on the Facebook Event page for the People's Choice Contest. Select the "Like" or any reaction button on the video of your favorite home! Comments will NOT count towards the vote. The People's Choice voting will start on Facebook on October 28th and end on October 30th at 4:00pm.
All contestants must provide a video, no longer than 1 minute, displaying their home decorations. The video must be emailed to ksiebert@collinsvilleil.org by OCTOBER 26TH. Contestants must provide a video to participate in the People's Choice Contest.
Winners will be announced on the Collinsville Parks and Recreation Facebook Page at the conclusion of the contest. A prize will be awarded to the winner of the Judge's Choice and the People's Choice.
$10 entry fee
Registration closes after: Monday, October 20th, 2025
All participants must have a Collinsville address
Contest Dates:
Yard signs reading "Halloween Decorating Contest Participant" must be visible in the participant's yard.
Wednesday, October 22nd
- A guide of all participating houses will be published on the Collinsville Parks and Recreation Website and Facebook Page
October 22nd-26th: Judge's Choice Vote
- Members of the Community Appearance Board will judge homes between 5:00pm and 9:00pm
October 28th-30th: People's Choice Vote
- Press the "Like" or any reaction button to vote on the video of your favorite house. Comments will NOT count towards votes
- Voting ends on Thursday, October 30th at 4:00pm
- Winner will be announced on the Collinsville Parks and Recreation Facebook Page
Yard signs will be collected at the event by a staff member of CPRD. PLEASE DO NOT DISCARD yard signs. Signs will be picked up between November 3rd and 4th. Please leave yard sign in yard for pick up.
