(Collinsville): Head Uptown for Collinsville’s FREE, outdoor concert series at the historic Blum House. The four-week lineup of Wednesday evening concerts, September 2-23, will feature some of the Metro-East’s most popular performers. Music begins at 7:00pm.

      The series debuts on September 2nd with a performance by Three Pedros.  This 3-person group performs classic and modern rock acoustic music listeners of all ages would enjoy.  Their acoustic melodies coupled with rock-solid harmonies will put you in the mood to dance, sing along, or just kick back and listen.

     Quarter Draw Band will take the stage on September 9th.  Based in Edwardsville, Quarter Draw Band consists of four Southern Illinois musicians featuring fat harmonies, dual guitars, and smokin’ blues harp.  The group’s approach to tunes ranges from rootsy classic rock, to greasy blues, and classic honky-tonk country.  Listeners always enjoy what Quarter Draw Band has to offer 

On September 16th Jeni & Dave of That 80s Band will treat you to the sounds 80’s pop/rock/new-wave tunes.  This group will take you as far back to the 80s as humanly possible with their covers of Madonna, Rick Springfield, Aha, Tommy Tutone and so much more!  Audience members rave, “They were awesome, as usual!”

    madBeats will wrap up the series on September 23rd.  Playing a variety of pop, dance and alternative music, this new music duo from St. Louis knows how to entertain a crowd.  You can count on songs from multiple genres including Motown and classic rock, to country and even alternatives pieces from the 90’s.  madBeats is sure to connect with any audience.

    Tunes at Blum will be held outdoors on the lawn of the historic Blum House, adjacent to the Collinsville Memorial Public Library.  Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic supper, baskets or coolers.  Free parking is available at the Library.
