Megan Roseman "unofficial" Intern for a Day

24-Jan-2017

Megan Roseman, a Collinsville 5th grader, is doing odd jobs, trying to raise funds to attend a junior leaders’ conference in Washington DC this summer. Megan was nominated to attend the conference by one of her teachers for the work she does with younger children in the special-education classes at Renfro Elementary.

Her goal is to learn leadership skills to help her become a special education teacher one day.

So we thought we could hire her for the day to help out around the City. Megan spent a day working at the City helping out each department.

Megan’s goal is to raise 5,000 dollars. Three thousand of this will pay for her trip and the rest of the money she raises will be donated to the special education classes at Collinsville unit 10.

The employees at the City of Collinsville chipped in and raised over $300 for Megan’s trip.

We wish Megan the best and thank her for her day of hard work at the City of Collinsville.

If you would like to help Megan reach her goal you can contact her mom, Lisa Roseman at mroseman05@gmail.com or donate money to a Gofundme account that has been set up at Gofundme.com/meganroseman
