Republic Services, the City's trash hauler, has scheduled the Fall Clean-Up

for the residents of Collinsville.

Your fall 2016 clean up dates are Monday, 10/10, Wed 10/12, Fri 10/14, Tues 10/18 and Thurs 10/20.


 

CLEAN UP GUIDELINES

(HOUSEHOLD ITEMS ONLY)

Items included in Bulk Pickup:

Furniture 

Couches, chairs, dressers, tables, bookshelves, desks, headboards, etc. 

Mattress sets 

Large carpets (cut into bundles no longer than 4ft in length - Must be tied with string/twine.) 

Appliances 

Glass portions of doors, windows, etc. NOTE: These must be broken and placed into a small box marked “glass.”  

All nails/staples or anything sharp that is exposed must be removed to prevent injury to you and the collector. 

Basketball sets/poles: NOTE: These must be broken down/cut into 4ft. sections and no larger than 3” in diameter.


 

ALL SMALL ITEMS MUST BE CONTAINED 

Trash in boxes or left “loose” at curb

will not be picked up.

Bagged item piles must not exceed 4 feet in length, width and height.

Items not included in Bulk Pickup:

Construction debris of any kind

Shingles, drywall, vinyl siding, molding/trim, fencing, kitchen cabinets, etc.

Loose trash or trash in cardboard boxes.

Basketball sets/poles, unless they are broken down into 4ft. sections and no larger than 3” in diameter.

Concrete.

Tires.

Lead/oil based paint, varnish.

Batteries.

Yard waste.

Fluorescent light bulbs.

Any other items not listed identified as hazardous waste.

Electronic Waste – due to IL state law, electronics cannot be disposed of in a landfill and therefore cannot be placed at the curb for pickup. This includes televisions, computer monitors/accessories, DVD/VCR players, as well as several other items. For a complete list of banned items, and where to properly dispose of these items, contact Republic Services.

 

Remember: Any items that are not “stand alone” items must be contained in bags and can’t exceed 50 lbs. Items placed in cardboard boxes will not be picked up.
