Fire Department

The City of Collinsville establishes Hiring Registries every 2 years for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Applicants must submit to the following:

  • Agility and Physical Testing

  • Extensive written examination

  • Background check

  • Medical screening

  • Psychological evaluation




  • Possess Illinois Paramedic certification/National Registered Paramedic certification

  • Valid driver’s license

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Be in good physical health

  • Be at least 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age

  • Be a U.S. Citizen
